About Us
The Pro Alliance SA (PASA) is a non-profit company (NPC) established under the Companies Act 71 of 2008, serving as a collaborative platform for Producer Responsibility Organisations (PROs) within the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) framework.
Our mission is to foster cooperation, efficiency, and alignment across industries to ensure uniform compliance with environmental legislation and sustainable resource management.
Our vision is a circular economy where all EPR sectors work together effectively
PASA Values: Collaboration, transparency, sustainability, compliance, innovation
PASA acts as a national platform for dialogue, coordination, and policy formulation. The organisation brings together industry leaders, government authorities, and community stakeholders to develop unified approaches for implementing EPR initiatives.
Through its strategic focus, PASA supports the establishment of effective collection and recycling systems, data harmonisation, and national awareness campaigns. It promotes inclusivity by empowering waste pickers, small businesses, women, and youth in the recycling and waste-management value chain.
PASA drives environmental innovation through methodologies for measuring, reporting, and verifying recycling performance, while encouraging sustainable product design and circular economy practices. Its collaborative governance approach ensures accountability, transparency, and measurable environmental impact.
Together, PASA and its members are building a cleaner, more sustainable South Africa — where environmental responsibility and producer collaboration go hand in hand.
